It was the spring of 2020, a time of uncertainty and fear. Priya was a bored 4th year medical student, while Aman was an overworked medical intern dealing with a pandemic none of us knew was coming. One fine day, Priya decided to message a cute boy she came across on Hinge - his name was Aman and what caught her eye was a picture of him in a bunny suit entering a COVID ward. Taking a leap of faith, she sent a "like" and message saying "Miss Rona would be so proud". To her dismay, Aman did not respond to her for an ENTIRE. WEEK. Understandably, he was a little preoccupied with long days in the hospital. But when he finally did, "e-sparks" immediately flew and they talked incessantly for a month. Priya, being not very technologically adept, accidentally Facetimed Aman while they were playing an online game (because that's how dates worked during COVID!) - and to her surprise, he picked up! An accident became an hours-long video call. Soon, they agreed to meet in person for the first time. But not before Priya made Aman get tested - for COVID that is. With a negative report in hand, Aman set up a lovely picnic on the Hoboken waterfront under a beautiful blue sky and shining sun. The NYC skyline painted the perfect background for them as they both continued to talk for hours and realized that perhaps they had each found the person they didn't realize they were looking for. And the rest? Well, the rest is history :)

I remember Priya made me get a covid test before we met. We had a nice picnic. We drank lots of wine.
